a novice gun in the English countryside following a lifetime abroad, I
wasn't sure what to expect when I arranged a day's pigeon shooting
through Sporting Agent. I needn't have worried. I got the works: detailed
travel instructions, a booking into a excellent B&B (wow what a
breakfast), a dinner reservation at the superb pub nearby, recommended
clothing, suggested cartridge loads, and in the morning a hide already
set up complete with a decoy pattern and pigeon magnet. Conservatively,
two hundred pigeon flew between 11:00am and 4:00pm. All i supplied were
my gun, cartridges and a packed lunch. The sun shone, the action was
constant, I was even in touch through a two-way radio (also supplied)
and it was plain to see how attractive pea drillings were for the
quarry. Well planned; well executed; great fun; great sport. I've

"While not an expert on African hunting i have
hunted in Botswana, South Africa, Tanzania and Mozambique. A couple of
these hunts were excellent but my 2003 hunt with
Sporting Agent exceeded
all expectations. The camp was good, the food first rate and the staff
excellent. The hunting block itself was beautiful country and much game
was in evidence. I saw more buffalo on one day in this concession than in
all my other hunts combined. Hunting is done in the traditional way - by
tracking. Anyone requiring a memorable buffalo hunt could not, I'm sure,
do better than this and i look forward to shooting buffalo with them in
