With it’s reddish brown plumage, black tail, white feet and distinct red over it’s eye the red grouse can only be found in the British Isles. Females are less reddish than the males and have less conspicuous combs. Young birds are duller and lack the red combs.
Driven Grouse shooting is unique to only the UK, yes other countries may have Grouse, but they do not have Driven Grouse shooting. We are able to offer excellent Driven Grouse Shooting on the moors of North and South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire, as well as top class Grouse Shooting in Scotland.
Probably the most famous bird in Scotland. Once the 12th August arrives, the scottish moors are filled with guns trying to shoot one of the most challenging game birds out there.
You don’t have to travel to Scotland to get some action on the ‘Glorious 12th’. England have some excellent Grouse shoots too.
