Chinese Water Deer is second only to the Muntjac as our smallest deer in the UK. It is also the only deer that we have that does not have antlers. Chinese Water Deer is another import from the Far East, and the name gives it away from which country they are originally from. In China these deer are very difficult to find, but here in England, their population is growing every year. England is the only country that has Chinese Water Deer, ranging from the Midlands across to Norfolk.
Recommended Minimum round for hunting Chinese Water Deer is .243 or larger. If you do not wish to use your own or do not have a rifle, all of our guides have estate rifles that can be hired on a daily rate. All our guides hunt in Free range areas, no fences here!
