Sika Stalking/Hunting

The Sika deer is a very shy and nervous deer.  Most people usually see the Sika deer as the deer is running away. The area for Sika is mainly in Scotland, where sometimes they are mistaken for a small Red Stag.  The Sika deer again, is an import from the Far East and has adapted very well in certain parts of Great Britain, mainly in Scotland, but there are pockets in England that produce top quality stags. These areas in England are forest areas that do not get a lot of public traffic, and the Sika deer are thriving in these conditions.  In some parts of Scotland the Sika is cross breeding with the Red deer to give a hybrid deer, half Sika half Red.

If you do not wish to use your own or do not have a rifle all of our guides have estate rifles that can be hired on a daily rate.
