The Brown Trout is a native trout species of the UK, found in all parts of the the Isles, from the Fast flowing rivers of Scotland to the chalk streams of England. Where you find Brown trout, you will find people casting a fly looking to fool the Brown Trout. Personally my favorite of the trout species, here in the UK.
