Guns and Game birds
With the morning breeze picking up and the sky still overcast, it looked like it was going to be a pretty good shoot for our team of 7 guns. Whilst keeping warm with a cup of tea the team is told the details of the day by the guide. With their numbers drawn and their guns on their backs, the team is loaded into the gunbus to be taken to the first drive.
The weather holds out all day, with the breeze feeling more like a strong wind at the top of the valleys with a cold bite to it, but that's all forgotten about once the birds start coming out of the cover crop in every direction. Guns are going off up and down the line, you can see that the adrenalin is kicking in and the excitement on their faces.
With the team having enjoyed themselves throughout the day, and the day turned out be a highly successful one, it makes it easy to see why the field sports enthuiasts love it so much. With Lincoln Cathedral in the distance and the sweeping valleys surrounding the area, it makes Fulletby an idyllic place to come shooting.
